Car Manufacturer Oil Specifications

Based on European vehicle manufacturers, the prescribed vehicle specifications are based on the motor tests of the ACEA (Association des Constructeurs Europeens d'Auto mobiles).

In order to achieve a manufacturer approval for a certain oil, in addition to the respective ACEA test procedure, further motor tests and requirements must be fulfilled. Below is an overview of which manufacturer specification is based on which ACEA classification.
